Becoming More Undignified

Rick stepped off the stage from an amazing worship set and stepped right into sharing about King David becoming more undignified. When the Arc of the Covenant was returned to Jerusalem, King David could not contain his joy and his worship that he stripped off his clothing and danced before the people in worship to Yahweh (2 Samuel 6). When we step into joy, awe and worship like this it begins to cross over every racial barrier and releases unity. Becoming even more undignified than this releases the Kingdom of Heaven. It is our act of worship, our stepping out in boldness and being unashamed that releases the Kingdom in your life and that then leaks onto those around you drawing them towards the very one your are worshiping.

Rick said this on Sunday, "When you restrict or hinder praise it causes barrenness of spirit." You see, when King David's wife saw what he was doing she despised him in her heart (2 Samuel 6:16). Because of her heart towards David's love, adoration and undignified worship to Yahweh, she became barren.

When we despise the move of God; when we despise the undignified worship that others release to Yahweh, we cause barrenness to set in our spiritual pursuit. We block the breakthrough we have been trusting for, the healing we have faith for.

Bill Johnson said this recently, "Not understanding is okay. Restricting our spiritual life to what we understand is not."

Although Yahweh is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8), His glory is ever increasing (2 Corinthians 3:18). Yahweh is constantly revealing more of His glory and His Kingdom. Our hearts need to be open and be ready to be 'even more undignified than this'.

2 Corinthians 3:18 in the Passion Translation says, "We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

May we remove the veil from our faces and hearts; may we not restrict our spiritual life to what we understand; may we become even more undignified than this moving from one brighter level of glory to another.
