Shining Ones

Anyhow, back to Isaiah 60:1. I just love how the Amplified Bible translates this verse, "Arise (from spiritual depression to a new life), shine (be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord); for your light has come, and the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you."

Rick and I have been teaching on how Sons of the Father need to arise and shine in this world. (You are welcome to subscribe to our podcasts on PodOmatic and iTunes to hear more) But what does it truly mean to ARISE and SHINE?

You see, when we say yes to Jesus (Yeshua) we become a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17). We receive a new soul straight from the heart of our Father and we become born from above (some may say born again or reborn). You are now a new creature, created in the exact likeness of Yahweh, which means you are now able to do all that He does. Did Yeshua not say, "I only do what I see my Father doing?" I love how we have limited this phrase and the life of Jesus that we are able to live here on earth to just signs and wonders (that we can understand), healing the sick and preaching the gospel. What about walking through walls (John 20:19), when Jesus became invisible in a crowd who were trying to kill him (Luke 4:30), multiplying food (John 6:1-14) and transfiguring and talking to the cloud of witnesses (Matthew 17)? These are just to name a few.

For me, to arise and shine means to wake up out of your spiritual slumber and laziness and become that shining one God created you to be before the beginning of the world (Genesis 1:14-19; you can also listen to my message on this passage called Intimacy and Identity or Rick's message called Glistening Ones). Did Yeshua not say that we can do the things He did and even greater? We need to speak to our souls and tell ourselves to ARISE and SHINE because creation is waiting for us, the Sons of Yahweh. Follow the ways of Yeshua. You are a Shining One, a Son of Yahweh, created in His image, seated with Him in heavenly's time, ARISE!
